Rotterdam: Leading Dutch financial newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) held its award ceremony on Tuesday, 22 November in Amsterdam for the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands in the 19th edition of its award, and i3D.net was proud to accept 1st prize for the second consecutive year!
This year’s win makes it 3 first-place finishes and a total of 9 times i3D.net has been nominated for this award — it is also our seventh consecutive nomination! Before this, i3D.net was given the number 1 spot in 2021, 2012 and the third position in 2013. Other years in which we were ranked include 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
The FD Gazelle looks to highlight the fastest-growing companies and i3D.net was one of 685 companies selected for this year’s edition. We are also proud to win from the West region of the Netherlands — the biggest region in the country in terms of financial activity and the presence of all major Dutch cities in this highly-competitive region.
The award is calculated based on revenue, profit and team growth over three years, alongside a special section for the fastest growers in the region. i3D.net was named in the ‘large enterprise’ category.
Winning for the third time in 2022 is truly special because it comes exactly ten years after our first victory. Back then we were named the number 1 company in the ‘small enterprise’ category. We were still a small startup back then, but our excellent teams were going above and beyond to achieve bigger things. To win back-to-back awards in the large-enterprise category just nine years later is a vindication of the commitment and hard work put in over this period.
The nominations and wins year after year in the past decade after that indicate that our growth has been consistent. This is not easy given the complex challenges the company has faced, in transforming from a small company operating out of the Netherlands to a company with a backbone network that spans 30 countries and 60+ cities.
i3D.net’s consistent success is of course a collaborative effort amongst our teams and partners. Maintaining this level of growth year after year is no small matter, and we are incredibly proud of all the hard work that went into making this another successful year for the company.
i3D.net is one of the leading providers of high-performance hosting and global infrastructure services. The company operates a low-latency network, with thousands of servers spread over 40+ points of presence on 6 continents. i3D.net excels in the gaming market and hosts a variety of AAA games, which led to its acquisition by Ubisoft in 2019. They continue to help various large-scale gaming & enterprise customers deploy, scale, and manage their applications to over 300 million users globally. i3D.net’s goal is to reach 1 billion users on its platform by 2025.
