After leading i3D.net for 21 years, I am stepping down as Managing Director and hand over my role to Bart Kemps, our CCO and with the company since 2013. With Bart leading i3D.net, I will continue as chairman of the supervisory board.
Founding the company in 2002, I have had the honor to lead i3D.net through many great moments. We have created a global platform by developing software, connecting thousands internet providers, hosting tens of thousands of servers, building datacenters, to launch the largest games serving hundreds of millions people. I am incredibly proud of the impact we have made in the game industry, and our track record of 21 years of profitable growth, offering a stable foundation for our team members, our customers and partners. Big impact has also been made by investing in our teams, with our unlimited educational budget, and by building technology that helped achieve major ESG contributions.
i3D.net is widely recognized for its durable growth, with over 27 awards including 1st place at the FD Gazellen Awards for fastest growing profitable company in 2012, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Over the years, our company grew to 100 million annual revenue and increasingly big impact to the game industry with over 860 million monthly active users. Building the company has been a life defining experience, celebrating many milestones, but also overcoming deep challenges. The company has gone through multiple transformative events and I have always been amazed by the team’s incredible resilience and capability to take on new challenges, learning new skills and building new technology.

I thank Rick Sloot and Stefan Ideler for their ongoing contribution to our success in many defining moments. I am also very grateful to our customers who trust us with their valuable content, and provide valuable feedback helping us improve, every day. I am also grateful to Ubisoft and Yves Guillemot, for recognizing our value to the game industry, and supporting i3D.net’s growth path while keeping our culture and entrepreneurial freedom intact.
