i3D.net operates 500+ servers in multiple European locations (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Frankfurt, Parijs, London). Both the housing and the network of our main locations Amsterdam and Rotterdam are powered by WeDare. The WeDare network was built with remarkly high-standard equipment and WeDare has a number of professional employees certified for the maintenance and expansion of this equipment.
We chose for the best parts from a small number of top-manufacterers. For the routing we use the following equipment:
- 1x Juniper M160 - Core1 Rotterdam
- 4x Juniper M40 - Core2 Rotterdam / Edge1 Rotterdam / Core1 Amsterdam / Core2 Amsterdam
- 1x Juniper M10 - Edge1 Amsterdam
- 1x Juniper M5 - Edge3 Amsterdam
- 1x Foundry Netiron 400 Edge1 Frankfurt
The switching is done on Foundry NetIron 400s and 800s jetcore switches. These switches are set-up in a full mesh so if there might occur a power glitch to one of the switches, the data-traffic will still continue. The complete (external) internet traffic our network can handle on this moment lies around 17.000 Mbit.
The coreswitches of i3d are two HP Procurve 5304xl-32g chassis-based switches and one HP Procurve 4200vl-48g chassis-based switch. These switches contain 48 gigabit UTP ports and 6 gigabit Fiber ports each. From these switches all racks are supplied with redundant gigabit uplinks.
