America's Army Honor servers by i3D.net

i3D.net has a special offer for c gameservers. Our PREMIUM servers are located in the fastest network and use the fastest hard- and software. These servers are perfect for use as high-quality warserver, super stable public, or as huge ‘modded’ server.

The hardware

The America's Army Honor gameserver is installed on PREMIUM hardware. For quite some years i3D.net buys his hardware from Dell and at this moment we have several hundred servers located in our suites. For the PREMIUM gameservers we have chosen for the Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers. The Dell PE2950 has been launched together with Intel Woodcrest CPU and contains standard support for the new generation Intel processors, SAS harddisks and FB-DIMM.

We have chosen for the newest version of processors from the Intel Core architecture: the Intel QuadCore E5335 2,0 Ghz/2x4 MB cache/1333 Mhz FSB CPU. Each server has a 4x1 GB FB DIMM memory and are foreseen from 15.000 rpm Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disks from 73 GB each. But that is not all: The networkports from these servers work on gigabit speed and are foreseen from a special TCP/IP Offload Engine: this special processor takes over the TCP/IP network traffic and exonerates the CPU’s and OS from the servers.
Each Dell PE2950 is a 2u rackmount server and is foreseen from a 3 year 24/7 onsite warranty.

The network

i3D.net uses the fast WeDare network in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Netherlands and the link11 network in Frankfurt, Germany. For the PREMIUM servers we choose for the new 10 gigabit network in Amsterdam and the Frankfurt network. The switching in our racks is on gigabit. The WeDare network is connected with the AMS-IX, DE-CIX and BNIX for fast local connections with big ISP’s from the Benelux & surroundings. Also we use multiple gigabit connections with high quality transit providers: Level 3, KPN Eurorings, Cable & Wireless, Interoute and SAVVIS. In Frankfurt we have a special gigabit connection with Deutsche Telekom.
